Is it okay to leave my PS2 always on standby, with the red light on, or should I turn the main power OFF overnight?

Standby is the equivalent of always having the PSX plugged in. So if you were one of the few people who did as the manual and always unplugged the PSX then you'll want to turn the switch off as power is still going to the until but it's just not utilizing any of it other than to show that there is power running to it. Well, i hope that you enjoy posting and have fun gaming.

I think it's fine to leave it on standby unless you aren't going to be playing for days at a time-then it's recommended to take the game out and shut off the main power.Definitely unplug when you've got lightning in the area-don't want the PS2 turned into a doorstop!
