hi. *i got a PS2 this past weekend, but there's some kind of shortage of memory cards in my area, so i'm trying to beat Final Fantasy 10 without saving. *is there an upper limit on how long the PS2 can be left on? *it didn't seem to warm up much during the 30+ hours i played it the first time. *i figure it will take at least 60 hours to finish it, so i'd like to know if the PS2 can handle this without exploding or melting or who knows what.

[SIZE=2]Hey juggleknot-long time no see! *

I wouldn't advise doing any sessions like that again-having the system at full power in sessions like that could have an undue effect on the system and yourself. If you can't find a memory card locally then online is the way to go.There's definitely no shortage of online places to get one!

thanks for the info. *i finally found a memory card at a thrift shop. * the air coming from the PS2's cooling fan didn't start getting warm until about 40 hours into the second game. *there was a power failure while i was playing, that probably did more damage than the time i'm spending on it.

I'm glad you found a memory card. Your ps2 coulda broke on you.Final fantasy 10 is a very long game to mess with the power on for the amount of time that you did.
