Iīve encoutered a really serious problem while starting autosave in the new EA sports F1 2001-game for PS2. The game canīt autosave, and the memory card says "corrupted data". I canīt delete it, the game is trying to save to that same block, canīt do it, because the data is corrupted. How can I get rid of it????

You could always manually delete the file off by starting the console with only the memory card in and then going into the card and selecting and choosing the delete file function. This should rid you of the corrupted data and you should be able to autosave fine. Another question that i should ask is if you have used a gameshark with the game as the GS has been known to corrupt MC data. This should work but if it doesn't then just come back and let us know. Well, i hope that you enjoy posting and have fun gaming.

Tried that, but the machine kept screaming "could not delete."
It seems that I canīt get my hands on that data file at all. I started the machine without a game, with that particular memory pack on slot 1, but couldnīt get rid of the corrupted data. I donīt use Game Shark.

Sony, you little......

It's not Sony, what you should be looking for is a Sony memory card. You probably have an interact mc and because it's third party then that's why it keeps messing up. Well, i hope that you get that fixed.

The saddest thing about this incident is that the memory card is Sony original...

thanks for your effort!
