 ps2 slimline console not working My daughter has a PS2 which has gradually stopped reading discs - first of all dvds stopped playing and now she cannot get any games to play. What could the problem be? Can we fix it or buy a new one - will definitely NOT be buying her a ps3 at those prices - do you think the ps2 will come down if we have to replace it - should we wait?      |

 Re: ps2 slimline console not working Sounds like the disc drive has slowly bit the dust completely. It could be fixed by Sony but the amount it would be to get done between shipping and labor, it would probably be cheaper in the long run to just get rid of the consiole and pick up a new one. The price out there now is about as low as it will get until maybe next fall (my own guess). I would say just grab another unit now. |
