Question PS2 ribbon cable help please!
I was readjusting the laser on my ps2, but before I could get it back together the top of the ps2 separated from the bottom. The ribbon cable on the reset/power buttons disconnected and I cant find a good picture anywhere on the net to show me where to reconnect it, and i have NO IDEA! The cable didn't rip, so I should be alright there. Is it it a clamp the cable goes into or does it need something else for connection, and where is it?

Things like this happening are why we say not to do it unless you are absolutely sure what you are doing.

I did find a site here with a lot of pictures in his step-by-step on lens cleaning. maybe these will help you out.
