Default ps2 slim will not play new movies
I have a Playstation 2 Slim it plays games just fine and old movies. Now when I put in a brand new movie to play (new as is just released not new as in off the shelf). For example Along came polly works just fine I put in "Because I said so" and it wont play what gives?

Sounds like time to give Sony a call- something definitely screwy going on regarding the DVD reading. I couldn't say for sure what would be the cause other than something wrong with the DVD reader. Sony's tech support should have a better idea.
