 hosting call of duty 4 since ive regestered with play station network can i now host private matches before my friends recived an error that said couldnt connect ot host was regestreing the fix or is there some other problem ps.sorry about the bad spelling      |

 Re: hosting call of duty 4 Part of the problem may be firewalls blocking the traffic either on your end, their end or both. If you are connecting through a router you may want to go into its settings on the computer and find the Port Forwarding section (varies from brand to brand on where this is). The ports you need are: TCP Ports: 80, 443, 5223, and 10070 - 10080 UDP Ports: 3478, 3479, 3658, and 10070 Once you do this you should be fine- your friends should do the same if they haven't yet as well. |

| Re: hosting call of duty 4 You do this on the computer, shadow. head over to PortForward.com - Free Help Setting up Your Router or Firewall, find the router you have and follow the instructions they give to put the port numbers I list above in place. Once that is done you may need to power down the router a minute and plug it back in again to get the setting to really stick. |
