Default voltage handling of the ps3

dear friends ,

i have just purchased the psc from USA and i plan to use it in india where the voltage is 240 as against the 110 in the usa is the ps3 built to handle the 240 input voltage or would i have to use a down converter

thanking all in advance



ps. behind the ps3 it states the power is 120v - 60hz

The PS3's power is supposed to be somewhat universal, being able to go from 120 to 240. However, I would play it on the safe side and use it anyway- considering how much the system is i would not want to take a chance at frying it and becoming aan expensive black doorstop.
