 Re: Version 2.40!!!???? Sony took 2.40 down after getting a number of reports that the install was making some PS3's unusable. What would happen is the install would seemingly go normally but once the system restarted at the end of the install it would only get as far as the background screen- the menu would not show up, making the system unable to play games or movies. Sony is looking into the problem now and once they figure out what went wrong will redo the update and put it back out for everyone. Hard to say when this will be.      |
