Post Playstation network won't connect!
when i try to sign in it says check your network settings, then when i check my settings it says 'PlayStation Network: FAILED'! underneath it says that playstation network has timed out!

can anyone help?

First thing I would do is try the simple solution of giving your router and modem a power cycle. If that does not do the trick you may need to adjust some settings in the router such as port forwarding (ports are listed in the pinned thread at the top).
