Default Can't get ip address or internet connection up.
You'll have to be patient, I don't have a clue why it isn't working.
Any help would be great, I'm on night 3 of working with this.

can you give us some information of what you have for a network, how your connecting the PS3 to your network, what firewall/router you have, do you have computers at home on the same network connected the same way etcetcetc.
