i've downloaded the new firmware 1.82 for my ps3 on my pc but when i've put it on my m-stick then put it in me ps3 it not finding it in update

I'm not sure if you've already done this, but when saving the update on a storage device you have to create a new folder called Update and save it in that folder. Then create another folder called PS3. Finally, place the Update folder in the PS3 folder. Your PS3 should now be able to recognize the file.
