i'd like to know how this sub-quest is done. *it's one of the few i never could figure out. *after the team escaped from the desert prison, i put Zell and Quistis with Squall. *some girl with a ponytail at the Balamb Garden library gave Zell a good item. *Later someone told Zell a girl was at the hotel in Balamb, but i never found her. *i hope someone answers this.

I never figured it out myself, but I did find the info. *The info I got was rather garbled, so I had to kind of "interpret it."

Before you go to the Fire Cavern the girl with the ponytails will talk about the library regs and a person she likes. *Before you go to Timber talk to her with Zell in the party and he'll mention how he has waited for the book "Goodbye Pupurun." *I'm not sure of the timing of this, but when you come back later there will be a SeeD asking whether the pig-tail girl is around, and a girl answering that she's "on leave." *After you freed Balamb Town head to the train station, where you will see a girl, talk to her. *Before you go to Trabia, head to the Library where you'll meet the friends of the girl who will ask Zell a few questions. *I'm again not sure of when (apparently on disk 3), head back to the library where Zell will be told that the girl is looking for him. *Go to the train station and talk to the girl again, and then head to Zell's house and talk to his mom. *Now head for the hotel and pay the 100 gil for the room. *The next morning Zell will be out of the party in the lobby. *The girl with the pigtail is there and she hands Zell a Combat King.

not to spoil anything but the easier thing to do is to buy it from estlar in disk 3 its way easier than all that. *:2devilish: *:grin1:

SpeedDemon, i'm not sure if it's too late or not, but i forgot to go to the B. Garden Library before i went to the Fire Cavern, and i still got the book. *But i did talk to her with Zell in my party before i went to Timber, so i can't be totally sure you'll be able to get it.
After the Garden was fixed up by the people at FH, but before i went to Balamb (on Disc 2), i went to the back room of the library with Zell in the party. *as i was leaving, two of the library girls stopped Zell and asked him a couple questions.
Favorite Color - choose from red, blue, or pink
Favorite Food - choose from Beef, Fish, or Hot Dogs
there was a third question, but someone interrupted before Zell answered.*
*(i restarted and was also able to take the quiz on Disc 3, before Squall has the Laguna movie flashback, so the window of opportunity for this part seems to be huge)
after freeing Balamb, a girl in a red skirt near the front gate told Zell someone came to his house looking for him.
i had to pay 6,000 gil to find the girl in the train station... 3,000 gil for the trip to Timber and 3,000 gil for the trip back to Balamb. *the girl in the red skirt was at the Balamb station when i got back.
i went to Zell's house and Zell asked his mother if anyone had stopped by, but she said no.
After Squall had the flashback with Laguna shooting a movie on Disc 3, a girl in the Balamb Library told Zell the girl with the pigtail had something for him. *i went back to Balamb and spent 100 gil to stay at the hotel, and Zell got the Combat King 003 from her.

...it's probably simpler than all that. *just make sure you always have Zell in your party, and visit the library and Balamb every chance you get.

I didn't even knew about this Zell's Love.... *:inlove: But it's good that the girl will give you the magazine wich will teach you METEOR Barret is it the strongest Limit? I think yes

I go for Different Beat it is A LOT stronger... besides I got Combat King 003 from a boss battle I think... and .... My Final Heaven is also stronger than Meteor Barret....

Hey Speed where do I get this final Heaven??? Should I buy it in Esthar? ???
