Ok I was looking through one of my old official playstation magazines, too get doomtrain and it said this.

"Combine the Solomon Ring from Tears' point(I already have it) with the rigth items to summon and obtain the GF doomtrain. The first element you need is six remedy+. Remedies are sold in most shops; convert 60 Remedys into six Remedy+ with Alexander's "Med Lev up" Menu."

* * *What is alexanders MENU? I looked like at him and saw what ablitys he was learning so then I learned all his ablitys for him and he didnt have Med lev up or whatever so then I looked at all my gf's abllitys and saw that no one has that dang thing. So please help me get doom train or figure out how to get Remedy+ or whatever its called.

You didn't use scrolls on Alexander to get some different abilities with him. If you did then you can't learn all of his other abilities as well. So, i guess that in this case it was the med lev up. I would recommend that you start over but if you don't want to do that then, i seem to remember a way to erase abilities that you didn't want anymore. I'll look into it as i'm not sure exactly how to do it but you should be able to learn the other abilities that were skipped because of the scrolls. Now if you didn't use the scrolls then you can ignore the above. You should be able to find everything that you need to know in this walkthrough. I hope that this bit of info was of any help to you and feel free to ask as many more questions as you need. Alexander can learn Med LV Up after he learns the Med Data ability. *if you have the Med Data ability, you can try using an Amnesia Greens on Alexander to make him forget an ability you don't need. *then *maybe* he'll be able to learn Med LV Up. *i don't know for sure, but there's no harm in trying, as long as you save first.

-Menu abilities are the GF abilities you can only use in the menu, such as Card Mod, Tool-RF, and Call Shop.

Well I'm on a FF8 G.F. quest! So far I am missing Doomtrain, Bahumant, Catuar, Eden,and everything that comes after Carabacle or is it Alexander? (three headed thing) minus Tonberry. So can someone tell me were I can find the rest (and what I need for Doomtrain, without solomon ring) I would really apreciate it! THanks!

Mengsk, you can't get Doomtrain unless you have the Solomon Ring (found at Tear's Point in Esthar), 6 Steel Pipes, 6 Malboro Tentacles, and 6 Remedy+ *in your inventory. *then just use the Solomon Ring. *i don't think there's any other way to get that GF. *Bahamut and Eden are both in the Deep Sea Research Lab. *some GFs can be drawn from the Servants of Ultimecia on disc 4 if you missed them during the game...
Siren can be drawn from Tri-Point
Leviathan can be drawn from Trauma
Eden can be drawn from Tiamat
Cerberus (the 3-headed dog) can be drawn from Gargantua
Pandemona can be drawn from Red Giant
Alexander can be drawn from Catoblepas
Carbuncle can be drawn from Krysta
...and i think that's it. *if you miss any others, you're out of luck i guess.

Jumbo Cactuar is on a small desert island to the east (the right) of the big southern desert continent. *look for him to pop out of the sand once in a while, and don't attack when it says 'Cactuar is hesitating' during the fight or he'll run away.

Ok guys I just got the Remedy+. :grin1: I got 6 of those now I need steel pipes or something. My guide said to steel them from the wendigos or something. They look like gorillas but there green and yellowish danish. It said there located southeast of deling city. SO I went to deling and I went south east from there. I got in to like 10 fights but no gorrila guys. Can you tell me where to find these creatures???

Be happy to help ya! I found alot of these guys on the cliffs around the area by Deling (you need the ragnarok), or you can find them in Forest areas around Timber. Plus, Doomtrain takes away the items you have to get him (a real bummer for me). Also I have Eden to find and it's all complete, but I'm stuck in someones caslte with 2 abilites left to get.

Well since I replyed to your topic in school (a big mistake) I was in a bit of a hurry. The island is along the Chocobo Haven thing were you find the mother chocobos (the area is north of Esthar, East or Trabia Garden, and It is bright green forest area) The (facing morth) island is to the upper right area of the forest. If your in doubt land, open up the menu and see the name. Also with Diablo's Enc-none ability your can collect some good magic. If you want the LionHeart I would post here too.

First of all, I need to start off with the following facts [some of
them are good news and bad news..]

1. You don't necessary need the Weapon Mon Magazines to get the
* weapons. I have actually play back an old file [which I have
* forgotten to get the magazine, Weapon Mon 1st Issue]. As a result,
* I ended training and gotten numerous amounts of ingredients for the
* Lion Heart. As I was about to tune up Irvine's weapon, Exector,
* which is found Weapon Mon Aug. I found the Lion Heart is
* upgradeable.. as I have gotten the requirements! So it is not
* necessary to get them unless you have gotten the requirements.
2. Squall's Lion Heart can't be gotten in Disc 1... Why? In Disc 1,
* you are only limited to travelled within the Galbadia Continent
* which makes it impossible to get to the ingredient, "Dragon Fang"
* However, it's possible to get it at Disc 2 onwards. I have found
* another place to encounter Blue Dragons. Plus it applies to almost
* all other characters. You may need to play card intensively.. by
* getting over 20x Elynole's Card [that's mad..] and converts them
* through Card-Mod-RF. Still, I would prefer to get the first few
* weapons before that fight begins.
3. Rare Items such as Moon Curtains, Med Kit, Doc's Code can't be
* gotten from battles, instead you need to undergone a couple of
* refinement process. This makes me earned for the Accessories to
* come back. This will work much easier if you have gotten a
* Pocketstation. [unfortunately, I don't own one.]. For those whom have
* read the Monsters FAQ (also found in GameFAQs), you will seen the
* ultimate disaster in getting 1x Holy War..
4. Certain weapons required items are very hard to get... Examples are
* Adamantine, Energy Crystals etc. [the monsters that own them are
* even more tougher. One good example is the Ruby Dragon, which has
* an awesome HP of 89,100 at Level 100] But it's possible to defeat it.

Well, time for some explanations. The numbers in the brackets are
those that you have in your ITEM inventory. If the numbers on the left
exceed the numbers in the brackets, then you will be unable to perform
an upgrade.

In case, my English is a bit too hard to understand...

In this above case, you can't perform an upgrade. The weapon [as you
may guess it's the Lion Heart]. Why, you don't have the item produce an
upgrade. (0) is definitely less than 1. It is pretty easy to understand.

If that's not clear, there's nothing I can do...

Note that you can de-graded your weapon back to it's original form, but
the used materials will be gone forever. If the number 48 is yellow in
colour, that means there is an increase in attacking power. But if the
colour of the digits is red, which means that your previous upgraded
weapon is much better than the weapon you have chosen to upgrade to.
[For example, Flame Saber is obviously a better weapon compared to the
Cutting Trigger.]

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE (regarding combat)
You can't get an item from a monster by winning IF you had steal from a
monster during combat. How to equipped Mug? Refer to Basic Tutorial.

Examples:
1. You fought 2x Adamantoise and you mug one of them [get an item,
* let's say Whisper for an example.]. You will not get Adamantine
* even though you have defeat the other one. Adamantine can be ONLY
* obtained if you defeat BOTH Adamantoise and do not mug them!
2. You fought 1x Ruby Dragon and you mug it [get: Inferno Fang] and
* when you defeat it you get nothing.
3. You fought 1x Ruby Dragon and defeat it. You will mostly get Fury
* Fragment or Inferno Fang [between level 20 ~ 40] or Energy Crystal
* [level 80 and above]

Well Madhtr, there is an easier (well i found it easy) way to get energy crystals. You know that deep sea research center? Well on my way down I found ALOT of them from battles even with Enc-none on I still got in fights. Well the chance of getting that there is ALOT greater than going to Esthar and leveling up. Well to get Dragon Fang I also got alot of them from stealing from the dragon. Hope this helps everyone!

just a small correction for everyone concerning this:
Actually, all the ingredients for Lionheart CAN be found as early as disc 1. *i've done it by getting Squall to level 30+ before he takes the SeeD exam. *Then, go to the Balamb Garden Training Area and fight T-Rexaurs that are levels 20-29. *About 1 in 5 T-Rexaurs will drop Dragon Fangs instead of Dino Bones.
To get the Adamantine, go to the small beach to the west of Dollet after you get off the train at Galbadia Station. *Level 30+ Adamantoises drop them when they are defeated. *They're easier to kill if you cast Berzerk on them, otherwise they'll keep healing themselves. *They can also cast Berzerk on you, so you might want to Draw the Reflect spell from them.
For Pulse Ammo, enter the forest you need to pass through to get to Galbadia Garden. *As Laguna, you can Mug level 30+ Elastoids for Laser Cannons. *You'll need at least 3 Laser Cannons if you use this method.
