Default psp displays 'there are no games'

help me please.......all i did was to connect my memory stick to my pc via a card reader and when i re-inserted the card into my psp , it says 'there are no games'....but free memory remained same, which means i have not deleted those games.....is there a possible way to recover those games..help me please or else my bro would kill me.HELP.

If the games in question were purchased from the PlayStation Store they can be re-downloaded for no charge via the download history.
