Default Replaced whole laser assembly, no help !

This PSP must be haunted !! I tried to fix a scratchy noise coming from the disc when it turns, especially at the beginning of a game (please read my earlier post), so I replaced the whole laser assembly thinking it was the problem. Well, the noise is still there. I'm starting to think it could be something else other than the laser or laser assembly, but what ?? I'll keep trying to figure this one out and when/if I find the problem I will post it. In the meantime, any tips are appreciated. Thank you.
