I know that almost everybody watching the news the past weekend was tuned in on the Space shuttle break-up. But I would like to draw your attention north of the US boarder into B.C. Canada.

Last weekend a school class went for a ski trip in the rockies (not sure where please feel free to name the location If anyone knows) and while skiing there was an avalanche which killed, I think the count was, 10 students.

I don't don't blame anybody for not knowing of this I (who live in Canda) heard of this tragic news this morning, and this happend I think it was Friday or Saturday.

But anyways my condolenses goes out to the families of those lost.

Yeah, i heard about this today on the news...It is a tragedy and from what i understand it's the 2nd such avalanche in the same area within the past two weeks. Not sure how many lost their lives in the first but the count was 7 from what was reported. My condolences go out to all families who have lost someone recently, i know your loss has been great and i know there's nothing no one can say to make you feel any better but i am truly sorry about your loss.

Hmmm, no jokes on that one...

I havnt got anything against canada anyway. Great place.

I know how you feel.

ya know its odd, the shuttle thing was on the front page of most papers i saw, but i didnt hear anything about this one. and more people died, so shouldnt it have been even more publicised?

anyway. to make up for my 'dispicable' joke, i feel bad.

and they were so young...

It truly is sad to lose 14 people in two separate yet nearly identical incidences. I am at a loss for words...

Not trying to be an idiot but there were also a traincrash in Zimbabwe on the first were 40 people died.
What I'm trying to say is that these things happens all the time, and we just have to accept that they do. Of course it is terrible for the ones related in any way with the victims but the world would come to a complete stop if we were to feel bad about every major accident.
