I've gone to the main AP page. I've accepted the JIRC applet message. Now it just says: Connecting to irc.centralchat.net 6667 Connected, please wait... And finally, after a few minutes, I get: java.net SocketException: Socket read failed Connection close. I know it worked the other day because it came up with hangoverqueen_API in the right hand window. Are there any glitches at the mo? BTW, yes I've made sure I've logged in, I logged out and in again, I refreshed the page and finally switched off the PC and tried again. And because it's not working, you're now forcing me to do some work... :P

Seems everyone has the same problem at the moment! Myself, PJB, manne... so it's not just you! To be honest i've no idea what's wrong with it... I'm guessing it's probably a problem with the IRC people who run the chat, although Jim has been working on the mainpage maybe he's turned it off while he's working... Guess we'll just have to wait till either it starts to work or someone who knows what they're talking about i.e. Jim, Mad or Lyn come along! ![]() So it's back to work for you

Unfortunately the company we use for the LIVEchat has had their server attacked by hackers which is why the service is offline. I will look at a temporary switch to another service in case it takes them a long time to get things running again. Jim

UPDATE I have now switched to another chat network. These guys have 10 chat servers connected including servers in United States, Canada, Netherlands, United Kingdom all connected together which should make it faster to load and less time-lag when chatting to people far away. Lets give it a try and see how it goes. Let me know if you have any problems.
