Thumbs down

The only problem with this is that not everyone likes to download stuff to their computer and many people wouldn't have access to mirc due to firewall restrictions, etc. I think for now it'd be best just to stay with the LiveChat services. Well, i hope that you enjoy posting and have fun gaming.

Heres a couple of additional reasons...

As the chat service goes offline we will switch to alternative providers. Sadly this seems to be a regular thing with IRC chat. If you stick with the chat on the front page then you will be automatically re-routed... if you try to use external programs you will keep getting lost when we move.

Also, I am looking for a cast-iron way to keep non-members out of the chat. The only way to accomplish this is to check they are using the front page and kick/ban if they are not. If lots of members start using external programs this may cause them to get accidentally banned.
