You have AOL and if i'm not mistaken they have their own ads built in meaning there'd be no way to get rid of them if you use their provided browser.

I'd highly recommend either using Internet Explorer or if you want to be able to setup a browser to block all ads then download Opera.......Now, there are other browsers such as Opera but i can't recall them at this time.

I will move this into the general area now as you requested where hopefully some other members will give you some more help on this subject. Well, i hope that you enjoy posting and have fun gaming.

Ok, a few questions.

What type of ads are they?
What type of sites do you get ads from?
At what frequency do you get these pop-ups? By this i mean about how many/site
Do you get pop-ups from all sites or just certain ones?

Well, you answer those and i'll see what i can do for you. Well, i hope that you enjoy posting and have fun gaming.

Dagger,I have a program here that I've been using for a bit that works great and is free (no arguing the price ).It's called Pop Up Stopper and can be found at http://www.panicware.com .It just sits in the system tray (down by the clock and other icons) and knocks off pop ups from just about anywhere.Meant to add this to the Useful Free Software thread pinned here-anyway,you may want to give it a try.

There is one thing about this though Lyndon..it's not free. It gives you a thirty day trial that's free...but isn't free.

I didnt put up the url to my suggestion in my last post so here it is pop-up blocker.

It is a program that stops anything in a pop-up window. If you want to open up something in a pop-up window just hold down ctrl and click the link. Any thing in a pop-up window will not be let through and its free.
