Ok, here goes a full-blown, vein-popping RANT!

I took my Mom to her doctor today (check-up, ect; nothin' serious), and while she was in with the doctor, I started chattin' to and elderly couple.

Well, apparently the elderly lady has Diabetes and some other ailments that accompany the elderly. Speaking with her husband, he explained how they just sold thier travel-trailer in order to pay for the doctors' fees and medication(s) for his wife.....

......while he was explaining this to me, some Mexican broad, with 3 kids in tow, walks to the reception desk, mumbled something in Spanish; ¿Puedo hablar yo a alguien que habla el español? to be exact (Can I speak to someone who speaks Spanish?); and asks if they accept Medical/Medicaid (I forget which).......and of course they do!

Now here is the burn, and I am getting so fu@kin' tired of it! Here we have a elderly couple, who have both worked, paid taxes, helped build and strengthen our country, and fought in our wars, and THEY are the ones who have to sell off thier stuff for proper medical attention? Excuse me!!

While at the same time, here is some god-d@mn Mexican chick, with 3 kids, who hasn't even learned the English language; and our government "helps" her out? FOR WHAT! Not being able to keep her fu@kin' legs closed long enough to get a job!

Something has gone so terribly wrong when a country caters to those who contribute ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, while at the same time snubbing those who have earned the right to ask for assistance in their later years of life?!
*

If you are of Mexican heritage (or any other minority), and you are offended by this, GOOD!! But don't be offended by MY words, you should be offended by those of your own nationality who are responsible for the enigma they cast upon you and your peoples/nationality!

So very true.....

here's a little rant about my own heritage, being American Indian/Native American/Indian/Choctaw(mostly anyway)/whatever *I'll just go ahead and call 'em lazy red b@stards, but anyway. *Growing up around many Indians I have seen all the government money that is
spent on them. *Housing, Food, Clothing, School, absolutely everything. *While this is all fine and dandy if your Indian(my ancestors however wouldnt sign their name on the government role so no money for me, unless I really wanted to object it, but I dont. Great Grandaddy didnt sign it for a reason). *But comeon yeah sure the whites took their land from them(guns and horses do beat bows and arrows), but jesus H christ this was several hundred years ago, none of my ancestors that were alive during these times are still alive today. *Nobody alive today had to partake in any of these wars and battles, yet the government still gives the Indian a free ride enough is enough, the Indian people have been turned into nothing but ignorant, lazy, drunkards(for the most part) there are a few who either go ahead and goto school, get a job, and go make something of themselves, but*I know too many Indian people that have never, and probably will never work a day in their life, and why should they whitey took our land blah blah blah, well so is life. *As long as the government is willing to give the Indian people a free ride they will continue to take advantage of it.

It saddens me to see what once was a great people diminished into what I see today. *They have turned
into something worse than what they were fighting to protect themselves from in the first place.
*:nono:

Luc – I’m feelin’ ya bud. Nations should look after their own first and everybody else second. My gran has an ongoing problem with ‘the establishment’. She receives a state pension (too bl00dy right after contributing to the system for over 60 working years), and she also receives a small sum from a private scheme set up by my now departed grandad (who fought in 2 world wars for this country and continued to work and pay tax well after statuary retirement age).

This thing is, a recent rise in the private cash income (due to inflation, nothing else) put her several pence (less than a packet of mints worth) over some limit re: the state pension. As a result her state pension was completely frozen and she received almost ‘threatening’ letters from the council stating that unless she supplied the relevant documentation, her pension would be suspended indefinitely. Of course these letters weren’t in any sort of language a late 70 year old women with no knowledge of ’the system’ could possibly understand – she was very scared. Luckily we are very close and only live a few miles away and so started to try and sort things out.

Top and bottom of it was she didn’t receive any money at all for over 2 months (she has very little savings) and it turned out that the documentation that was needed (and needed to be kept up to date every month) was only available at the last day of every month. Unfortunately the ‘system’ required the documentation was received by the 28th of every month – are you beginning to see a problem yet?

After weeks of filling in forms and generally jumping through hoops of red tape (all the time in which my Gran was receiving no money and making sure that everything was in triplicate we managed to make the benefits agency understand that there was a problem with the official release dates of certain relevant documentation, they (through various 1 on 1 interviews after waiting several hours to see them in person) agreed that the situation was more than a bit silly and things would be sorted out – Fantastic.

You’d think that was the end of it, wouldn’t you – wrong. They lost the paperwork and things went back to square one. We’re still trying to sort the matter out.

If my gran hadn’t have had the rest of her family close by to help her out – she would have been left with no money and threatened with legal action by the taxman. Not being able to pay any bills or being able to buy food – if she was on her own at winter time she could have quite easily froze and/or starved to death as a result.

Its nice to know we look after our own here in England.

I told her though – don’t worry, if things got too bad she could always destroy all her documents, walk into the nearest police station, put on a foreign accent, claim asylum and she would have been provided with food, clothing and accommodation within only a few hours – she would have various officials more than willing to help her.

Whats that word? Oh yeah. Priorities.

Since the introduction of new platforms I have noticed the slight decreased speed and decreased numbers of PS1 games being created and released, thanks the the PS2, a platform shaped like an X and a $hitful little cube, I think Sony has decreased production of PS1 games, in order to keep up with other companies Sony has stuffed up my life, I only own a PS1 and I doubt I will buy a new generation machine for a few years yet, in this time I still want a oad of PS1 games coming my way!!! Will there be any sequel releases of games such as Dino Crisis, Resident Evil or Final Fantasy? I am really worried about being left out in the dark!!! Anybody...are you out there......ahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! *

Hey Lethal Injection, why don't you try Arc The Lad Collection? Dragon Warrior 7?

I have a PS2, but find myself buying mostly PS1 games...I'm most interested in RPG's, and current PS2 offerings do not compare to what has been released on the PS1 so far. Don't hold your breath waiting for Sony to increase PS1 games though, and to release sequels for the titles you mentioned on the PS1 platform. Besides, there are many classic PS1 games you might not have played yet, and can purchase for $20 USD instead of the usually 40-50. Xenogears, Star Ocean, Legend of Legaia, are all as good as FF IMO.

I know the topic has been broached here before, and probably with more fire than I can muster, but what the hell is going on out there? Lately I've been running into such ignorance among the public as to drive a man to drink. Here's the gist:
Lately at the fast-food places I go to, when asked if I want hot sauce/ketchup/dipping sauce I respond "yes" and when asked how many, I say "half a dozen". I've been doing this as a kind of non-scientific experiment of my own observations, and I have yet to find a fast-food employee who knows how many a "half dozen" is. From my observations, apparently common opinion is that a half dozen is from 7 to 14, and the looks that the ignorant bustards give! As if asking for half a dozen of something is breaking their little stones. I suppose it falls back to the topic of many discussions here, who's to blame for our ignorant children? They're ignorant, alright. Some of 'em are dumber'n a bag o' hammers.
Anyway, that's my meandering rant.

I agree whole heartedly Dubya-B.

My rant is more aimed towards ignorance in general. I can hardly maintain my calm when faced with the wall of ineptitude that seem to gather more and more "moronic" bricks each day.

Ok, I will narrow down the pattern of my blast abit, I had 2 "gentlemen" or as I refered to them "worthless piles of dog doo" break in to my shop at the barn and they stole several items, one of which was the license plates off of my farm TRUCK (keep in mind, a rig can be licensed for farm use ONLY)

I recieved a call at 1:30 this afternoon from the local PD stating that they had impounded my CAR do to the fact I was driving on a suspended license. The officer told me "We were kind enough to allow you to take your items and take a cab home, it would be in your best interest to pay the fine and have you car removed from the impound."

After about 30 mins of trying to get the officer to believe I do not own the car he was describing and having him run my VALID license, he finally checked the plates. Golly Gee, they did not match the rig they were on!!! He allowed the thiefs to take my property and leave the scene of the crime. Barney Fife and Inspector Clueso(sp?) would have looked like Sherlock Holmes compared to this dounut dunkin' dipsh*t

Sorry to hear about that DC. I too have seen police at their worst, and it's hard to take. They never seem to be addled when they want to hook me up though, and that's what really tears it.

Car Insurance.................

By far the biggest scam this country has going for it to date, I mean come on this F*&KING BULLFECES has been pissing me off for quite some time, did a little figuring today(and yes it hurt my head) but since I've been 16 I've paid $16,000+ for car insurance(liability only) I have a clean driving record, have not once had a wreck, with another vehicle that is(small trees, fences, deer, and cows dont count, lol) especially when they're not turned into my insurance, and this is more money than I've paid for any vehicle. am I comped this money back because I'm not using it?!?!?! I think the hell not. Well I'm boycotting insurance, I'll take the $120 dollar ticket if I'm caught by a cop driving without it, and I'll go buy a months worth to renew my tag every year, and if I do happen to smash somebody someday(which with my luck will happen tomorrow since I've canceled my policy) well I'll face the consequences, I've got enough friends with body shops I will pay for it and if they wanna be an a$$ I guess it'd be a nice suing and probably jail time for me, but all this paying for other bad drivers mistakes and outrageousely high rates has gotten out of hand.......end of rant

Dzd, I understand your anger. Insurance is the greatest scam going. I have just one question for you though. Given, you know people in body shops that can repair any automobile damage you may cause, but what will you do if you accidentally injure someone severely and they need extensive medical treatments?

well I'm just gonna hope like hell that's something that doesnt happen for a few years. As I understand it rates for a male driver should drop dramatically after turning 25 and after I come to that age if I can find a reasonably priced policy well I might go ahead and reinsure myself, at least on the vehicle I drive on a daily basis.

You do realize that need to stay insured in order for you rates to drop. I had a string of bad luck in the first few years of having my licence and figured that I could just cancel my policy and wait it out. My broker informed me that the rate would stay the same if not increase if I cancelled and waited. But having a clean record for the past 7 years has really helped. Now I only pay about $85 a month on a 96 GMC Seirra for the wife and I both! So in the long run it is really more of an inconvience than anything and you really won't save that much money anyway.

This is directed at YOU! YOU know who you are you backbitin', bedwettin' sonofab*tch!! YOU probably think the world is great, everywhere YOU drive is nothing but open road. Didja ever think why, you half-baked, illiterate, piece of sh*t?!?! It's 'cause all the traffic's behind YOU @$$hole!! I swear to all that is holy, there should be a special place in hell for walking, talking rectums like YOU, you fart-breathed maggot. Maybe that's what you're doing in your rusted-out sh*t-bucket doing 60 in the fast lane, thinking of new ways to molest your pets and steal from the blind. Do YOU even know what the "fast lane" is for? And no, it's not where your wife and kids turn tricks, that's down at the truck stop, you punk.
YOU're the kind of jerk that won't swing on a hit-and-run, and won't try to break up a double-play, 'cause it might mess up your stats or your uniform. YOU've never heard of "takin' one for the team", all you know about a team is what lines up behind you when you bend over, b*tch!!! YOU can't be troubled with all the grief YOU cause, and YOU will reap what you sow, so help me. I'd like to grind your face into a bloody pulp, ya b*stard!!!
I swear, every time I drive the freeway, I see YOU and your kind. I never recognize YOU when you're out of your rusted-ou sh*t bucket, or I swear, I'd beat YOU until I was worn out, and beatin' is too good for the likes of YOU!!
I HATE YOU!!!! DIE SOON!!!

Thanks WB, I completely agree with that entire last post, I don't drive (yet), but yesterday I went to Nashville and wasted at least and hour or two behind people going less than a fourth of the speed limit.

Johnny F*ck!n law....

Last weekend went and had a Long Island tea after work and played a few games of pool with some friends, typical stress releiving night after a long day of butcherin' some meat, and am nonchalantly making my way home when the b@stards in blue decide to go ahead and give me a stop for having a taillight out; which BTW had miraculously started working again when I went around back to check anyway this fine upstanding pilar of our community being the genuis that he is when he see's a over21 band on my arm(slaps myself for not removing that) asks me how much I've had to drink I say one long island about an hour ago, well he doesnt believe me and informs me that well sometimes athletic guys even when intoxicated can still pass the field exams. Yeah f*ck!n right!! I dont think while drunk I could stand on 1 foot touch the tip of my nose and count to a flippin 45 So he decides to arrest me for a suspected DUI. anyway.... fuck!n sherlock holmes himself gets me down to the jail gives me my breathalyzer and I blow a .06!!! a freakin .06, which in this not so tolerant state is still a DWI(driving while impaired) Oh please give me a break, now maybe had I been a swearvin, bobbin and weavin, driving on the sidewalk yeah maybe then I'm impaired. So I get arrested get put in the drunk tank with smelly @$$ Otis while I'm butt as$ sober, my car gets impounded I did get to keep my licence(for now) but so far has cost me over $300 just to get my car back and to bail my a$$ out. Not to mention what my court costs, fines, and lawyer fees(if I decide to get one) are gonna amount to. That's one damn expensive long island.

Now I fully understand the need for these laws, there are plenty of people dumb enough that will crawl to their car and try to drive their happy asses home, but Jesus H Christ this freakin MADD as all hell group has gotten out of control with all their financial backing and political influence( I guess those are one in the same) but they're pushing for stronger laws harsher punishments lower allowable BAL% there's a very interesting and quite informative article Lawrence Taylor’s Speech on The DUI Exception to the Constitution there for those of you who give a sh!t or are just that bored
