High Definition Grand Theft Auto 4 video walkthrough for the Tunnel of Death mission

Once you get up north, you will find a truck in the alley. You must drive it and then a scene will follow. After that, you can drive the truck down the tunnel and turn it so that the truck is across two lanes of the one side of the tunnel (see video at 45 secs).

And when the cops arrive, you must blast at them. After you've cleaned them out, you must proceed down the right side of the tunnel and head on to Alderney. However, there will still be some cops waiting in downtown area but you cannot shoot them. So, you just have to escape them by moving as fast as you can.

GTA4 TUNNEL OF DEATH MISSION TIP:
The hardest part of this mission is getting rid of the 3 Star wanted level. Your vehicle is very strong but also very slow, which makes it harder to escape the police.

The trick to quickly losing the wanted level is to head for any busy downtown area of the map (where all of the stores are). Here there is much more traffic for the cops to crash into and MOST IMPORTANTLY the streets are smaller allowing you to keep turning right and left (in a zig-zag pattern) which is the key to losing the chasing police vehicles (see video at 2min 20 secs).

Just in case the above didnt quite make sense... get to a busy area of town (stay away from the freeways) and take every possible turn. Lots of traffic and lots of turns will quickly lose the cops.

ALSO set the nearest PAY n SPRAY as a waypoint on your map and try to zig-zag towards it . Entering the Pay n Spray will immediately get rid of the 3 stars, as long as the cops dont see you drive into it.(see the video at 2min 45secs)

With the stars gone, you will be given a new waypoint that is the location of a getaway car. At this point the mission becomes very easy, so just take your time (see the video at 3min 25secs).

When you find the car you will transfer the prisoner into it and be given a final destination. Drive it to the northwest of the island, through a dirt track along the coast. It can be tricky to find (see video at 4 min).

Get rid of the prisoner at the cliff edge and the mission is complete.

After that, drive east where you will see a green marker in an alley. It is located west of the paint shop.
