Some of my fellow Americans may have noticed a current trend in comedy here in the states that is directly influenced by the political swing of things. Specifically, jokes about the French are coming around again. Without reveling in them, or giving them credence for attacking a nationality, I will share this one. Mostly, because I think it's funny.

M - "I hear the fireworks show at EuroDisney has been cancelled"

B - "That's too bad, why did that happen?"

M - "It seems everytime the fireworks went off, the French army surrenderred"

Thank you, I'll be here all week, don't forget to tip your waitress....

Well, I doubt you’ll find the average Brit getting upset at somebody having a pop at the French!! (there’s a bit of history between us )

I’ve found that a lot of the recent French jokes are merely ‘generic’ with the nationality being swapped with that of others, however my fave French joke at the moment is:

Q- How many Frenchmen does it take to guard and protect Paris?

A – Nobody knows, it’s never been tried before!
