| Guide to Beating the Metal Gear Ray boss in Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots How to kill Metal Gear Ray in Metal gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots Kill Liquid Snake The section of the fight is similar to the fight on top of Rex on the first Metal Gear Solid game – even Snake's movements are the same. Liquid mostly utilizes his headbutting attack, but aside from that he's go this own punching combo of which you have to watch out for. As for your offensive, make sure to stay a safe distance away to keep Liquid from charging in on you. Then, you can quickly charge in on Liquid instead and attack before he is able to recover. Make sure not to get stuck in a corner and use the ship's columns for protection in case you must escape Liquid Snake. After landing your first punch, you have to tap the attack button so you can execute an effective combo that will wrap up with a powerful roundhouse kick. With his life gauge almost running out, Liquid Snake transforms as Liquid Ocelot, and that means the start of Round Two. Kill Liquid Ocelot Now that Liquid has revived himself and turned into Ocelot, this has got to be the most difficult of the four sections. He is also equipped with a punch that can be extremely damaging to you if he manages to connect. Also, he is able to effectively block your attacks while you have nothing new to offer, so it is certainly to your disadvantage. Therefore, you must try your best in order to keep him from landing that punch. Or else, it could be destructive and you will no longer be able to keep up with Ocelot for a long-running battle as your life gauge is dipping low. However, as Liquid Ocelot tries to attack, it leaves him open for a goob combo as he tries to recover after throwing his force on you with that punch. As soon as he winds up, you must keep out of his way and charge at him when his guard is down. Doing this will definitely land you some good hits. Keep doing this while also keeping your defense up (attack only when the best opportunity arises) for you to win this round. Kill Revolver Ocelot After getting beat up, Ocelot resorts to using the CQC he got from Big Boss way back. This time, however, Ocelot has an unblockable CQC combo that he finishes up with a head smash. Good thing though, this combo is not as damaging as his lunging punch, so Snake can use his own CQC abilities to even things up. At this point, you must refrain from being so defensive and increase your level of aggressiveness a notch. Instead of waiting for Ocelot to attack, you must go after him. However, this does not mean charging without caution because you might just end up on your back instead. The key is sticking close to Ocelot and attacking when you see the prime opportunity. After landing a few hits, you can finish Ocelot off by pressing Triangle. That should have done Ocelot a good deal of damage to recover. Kill Geriatric Ocelot This is the point wherein you must be able to finally settle the score with Ocelot. You two would now be moving really slow but there's no need to run around, however, to dodge attacks. Make sure that you are close enough to Ocelot that you can throw a punch at him. Then, press R1 to trigger a cinematic that shows Snake hitting Ocelot. When you stand around for a long time, Ocelot will attack in the same way. But by attack from a distance, you will trigger another cinematic showing Snake flailing around. Although Ocelot does not have a life gauge, you will be able to cause him to surrender after hitting him one too many times. Then, he would just stop fighting, but this is not to say that Ocelot has been killed off. Now that you've taken Ocelot out of the picture and you've eliminated the Patriots, that means the end of Metal Gear Solid 4. You have now completed the game! However, you should stick around to view all of the credits. As always, several plot twists are served right at the end and you might see an old comrade coming to visit Snake from the past. After this point, there's no more playable sections remaining, so take time to enjoy the credits. If you have a better, faster or funnier way to Kill Ocelot in MGS4, please ask them below. |

| Alternative way to beat Liquid Ocelot in MGS4 In Liquid Ocelot Fight One, Punch him when he is near the edge several times and he will look like he is falling off. As he gets up punch him again to defeat him. You now move onto the second stage of the battle with Liquid Ocelot and this time he will go for the big hit. Watch out for it and simply step to one side when it comes, then CQ and grab him. |
