Well I am very happy with my ps3 but... The playstation online store is not available to Malta I mean, why? I buy all my media from www.play.com and have no problems at all. I also sent an email (2 actually) to networksupport@eu.playstation.com and they did not even acknowledge it. Anyone can point me some place I can phone or email to get reasons for this. Should i need to sign up with a uk address for example. It is a bit silly tbh

Yeah if you make a seperate foreign account (say a UK or american one) you will get access to the PS Store. To do this, search for a British or American business address on somewhere like Yell.com, and use that as the residential address for the account. All the rest can be made up or worked out. The problem is you will only be able to download the free stuff from your chosen store, unless you have a credit card that is registered with a British or American address (whichever your chosen country). You can also do this for Japan, but its a lot more complicated as the language is in Japanese, so i would reccommend going for an American account at the moment as they get the most content out of the rest of the world...

So silly I have to go for something like this .I am the kind of guy that likes to have all in line so to say. So what you are telling me is that I can use a Brit address for example but this will not allow me to purchase stuff. Could I not buy them with Visa anyways? The stuff is downloaded so should not really effect it. I was thinking of getting a Brit address over an American since I buy all my media for play.com which is a Brit site

Unless the credit or debit card's billing address is in Britain then no. There are cards that you can buy and top-up online i think, so if you're really intent on purchasing stuff from the store, this will be the only way to do it. The downloaded content is isn't region-locked but you still need a credit card linked with the country that your buying from to purchase the content. Patches for games are not downloaded through the PS Store. Whether you have the PS Store or not, shouldn't affect whether you get patches or not.

Look for a business's address on a business search site like yell.com. I used the address of a game store in California for my American account, so that may give you some idea.

Well I did that and it worked but really I felt disapointed about it so I went back to my original address (i am kinda a patriot) and I am fighting them off so they make it avail to Malta :P After all, all there is on the online store is free stuff you can get off internet and I am not much into the adding stuff to games via payment (which won't work anyways due to the Visa address being Maltese). To add to that, we already pay a fair price to buy the software initially. Anyways I got a case open with them, will see how it ends and I will keep you informed.

You can't get any of this on the internet, Zeppi. The PS3 demos are only on the PS3. While it is true about the game videos it's a lot better seeing them full screen on your tv instead of a streaming flash video on the PC.

Well, yes that is true about the videos though i tend to by some mags that have the demos on dvd and are of good quality (and I see them on my ps3). As for the demos, well it is a demo after all. But I will keep pushing my case towards PS Online Store.
