Just the launch model 20 GB and 60 GB systems as far as the North American versions go- they have the actual PS2 chipset in there as well. The 80 GB has/ had software- based emulation (up until the MGS4 bundle) and could play quite a few PS2 games while the 40 GB can't play any PS2. All versions play PSOne games.

Yes Lucy, all versions, including yours. How else can it play those PSOne classics in the store? I should mention that region coding is in full effect on the disc-based games.

Now then, which would I recommend? Honestly, I would go with the newest you can find and stick with a slim PS2 for your PS2 game play. The only ones you'll find these days that can play PS2 games are used on eBay, which means no warranty if something goes wrong.
