Just bought Guitar Hero and it's sooooooo adictive!!!

Having friends around tonight for fun, beer & quiz. One of them has a 9 year old kid whose under my wing & can play the axe big time!! looks like me & him will have to form a team & go against Kate's (jane sister) boyfriend Tony as he plays bass in a band.

The kit has a SG Gibson guitar, strap, game disc & a whole lot of attitude to strum!! The musical selection is rock and comes in the form as Black Sabbath to Pantera (R.I.P. Dimebag) The game is like Dance Euro/Um Jammer Lammy but have to play the chords to the beat of the highlighted coloured fret keys. It's a bit expensive £50 and has the option of a second SG Gibson so you can have a face off Jam so that runs up to £100!!! but I've got this for my birthday. So far Oddish has gig ear & cramp in her hands trying to master Megadeth's Symphony of Destruction

Got the digicam charged up & will be doing myspace photos of us looking like errrrrrrrrrrr rock gods! (or stupid prats)

I look forward to seeing the "Rock Fest" pics, unk:" class="inlineimg" /> I had read an article about a fella whom turned the GH controller into a "real" guitar...it seems like a cool mod, but it also seems like you have way too much time on your hands. <_<

Yeah I got the tip-off the guy who sold my the kit. Best have some real heavy stuff on & at least 1 Metallica track. They should bring out another guitar model, I would buy it..........say a Flying V, Explorer or even a LTD!

Hmmm I tried playing the game around thanksgiving last year. It's HARD!! Though I blamed my jetlag on my lack of ability to play as I had flown from one gramma's house to another on thanksgiving day.

Reminds me of the good old days of DDR.

I checked the game out the other day while I visited my local games dealer and I've gotta say "I'm getting me one of those".
Unfortunatly the price is a bit steep for me to afford at the time being, but I'll get it. Somehow. God willingly.

I would love to get my hands on Guitar Hero, I have never seen it around though, was it release in Oz? I also remember there being a drumming game. I did hire out... I think it was called 'Beatmaster'? On the origional PS, came with the 6 keys and scratch pad control? Anyone else enjoy that game? I got absolutely addicted to it, music is a major passion of mine, and so is gaming, hey presto put the two together and Im in heaven!

Lol, I cant remember exactly when... I played it sometime between 2001 - 2004, sometime in highschool. It didnt look brand new then either so Im guessing it was a few years old. As for where you were... the best guess I can make is... the United States of America.
