Looking at the latest photos of the PS3 it seems the analog's are exactly the same as the PS2. As I'm sure we all know the dome shape very well don't you think it could be better ?

Some games can get rather intense and that's when your thumb inevitably slips of the not so sticky analog stick. Or you end up with a sore indented thumb after a few hours of playing FIFA06, Burnout, ect…..

A dimple in the centre would stop this from happening……

What do you think ?

I haven't had any sort of problems with the dimple -free sticks at all, actually, so it wouldn't be a big concern to me. The sticks on the Logitech Wireless Action Controller I use now are pretty much flat but the rubber on there is pretty non-slick so no problems with slippage there.

Best wait a couple of weeks until we see what the actual controller will look like, which we should be able to see at E3. The one that had been shown around other confereences have only been mockups/prototypes and not the final design.

Must just be me.... <_< Happened again yesterday during a heated battle in Rouge Trooper !

Altho' I hate to admit it I guess I just like the Box's analogs more.

I don't think it is just you SHAGGER.

I too have had some dimples in my thumbs from getting chased via FF9. Really not exactly comfortable. I wouldn't mind them changing the analog controllers though. I guess we'll see.

Ive never really had any trouble with Ps controllers, despite that though I do prefer the box controller design over ps's

I so prefer an analog with a dimple now.......

Was playing the demo for V8 Supercars 3 on my PS2 and my thumbs were slipping of the analog again I have this game on my box and under intense racing the dimpled analogs work so much better !
