Default question about ps1/ps2 game compatibility
Hi,
I have searched the internet but cannot find the answer to my question. I know that ps2 will play ps1 games but does it work in reverse? Can a ps1 play a ps2 game?

The PlayStation 1 was made before the PlayStation 2 was even thought about, so no, it is not possible to play ps2 games on a ps1.

In very simple terms, the PlayStation 1 is not a powerful enough game console to play the PlayStation 2 games.
