My boy left today for Ghana. I thought I could hold myself together and be strong for him leaving but I couldn't. It's been a long time since we haven't seen each other for an extended period of time. We had no trouble with it before because we were able to at least remain in contact through the phone calls.Since he's overseas though, I can't just right up and call him. Or text him for that matter. No telling what kind of charges might come up...or even better, if his phone even WORKS. I talked to him today before his boarding call and experienced one of those moments everyone dreads. You know in those movies where it shows the tension of someone having to leave and they have to embrace their loved one.
