Question

Spider-Man and Call of Duty 3 developer working on new next-gen Bond title

With the James Bond license now firmly in the hands of Activision (after freeing itself from the grip of EA) it seems that the publisher is already preparing work on its first 007 game - and the developer behind it is Treyarch, previously responsible for the Spider-Man games, as well as the forthcoming Call of Duty 3.

News comes courtesy of a job listing on Activision's website, reading, "Treyarch is looking for a Gameplay Designer for our upcoming Bond title". Apparently, the game in question will be developed for the new wave of consoles, with the advert continuing, "the studio is focusing on developing and hiring for next-gen titles".

It's a fair bet that we can expect the - currently unannounced - title to hit Xbox 360 and PS3. What's more, given Treyarch's already getting to grips with the Wiimote with Call of Duty 3, a version for Nintendo's next console wouldn't be out of the question.

Of course, all that's just speculation until Activision and Treyarch make an official announcement regarding Bond's next videogame exploit - and when that's going to happen is anyone's guess.
