Those of you that read of Sony's slogan for the PlayStation 3 in Europe no doubt had some mixed reactions ranging from "genious" to "what the **** are they thinking?". Well, it's good to keep in mind it's not necessarily the slogan that's important but whether people will buy the system.
Which is where marketing comes in, doing what they can to make people say "I need this". Sony looks to be wanting to push the PS3 as the must have bit of tech, kind of like how only the "cool kids" wear certain brands of clothes. Part of this is using a slogan that tries to be cool and modern while also being somewhat old school. Will it work? Check out the video of their ad and decide for yourself.
