Those in North America that have been considering a PlayStation Portable purchase will have a new option starting tomorrow. The new PSP Entertainment Pack includes a 1 GB memory stick, the game ATV Offroad Fury: Blazin' Trails and the movie Lords Of Dogtown on UMD. The pack will retail for $249 US.
"While the PSP system has out-sold all other next-generation gaming handhelds in the period since its launch, we expect this new offering to drive additional consumer interest and sales, particularly as the holiday shopping season approaches," said Sony Computer Entertainment of America senior vice president of marketing Peter Dille.
The Core bundle will still be available which includes the PSP, the battery and the AC adaptor for $199 US. Sony quotes the retail value of the Entertainment Pack at $300, which makes for a $50 saving.
