Yesterday Sega held themselves a press conference to intro the PS3 exclusive Virtua Fighter 5 and allow members of the press to play it on the PlayStation 3.

According to some reports the game is "arcade perfect" and looks great graphics-wise. One niggling bit was the loading time- it took 10 seconds to go from chracter selection to the actual fight. Not a big deal to some, perhaps, but it would be nice to see this improved on.

One unusual thing was the demo units did not use the actual PS3 controller- instead they had arcade-type control sticks connected which added to the arcade perfect feel they mentioned earlier.

There was no final word on a release date but it is figured to be somewhere in the early part of 2007.
