There has been a rumor floating around regarding possible changes to how the preorder process will work at EB Games and Gamestop. Supposedly to preorder a PlayStation 3 or a Nintendo Wii one would have to trade in $50 worth of games instead of the usual cash deposit. Turns out this is true- partially.

Starting today this is being tested in Hawaii and Guam to see how things turn out. There's been no confirmation if there will be a normal preorder program in place for those 2 areas later on. If you don't live in those regions preorders will not be taken until the stores find out how many units they will receive.
