Are you a fan of the Virtua Tennis series? Have a high-def set up just waiting to hook a PlayStation 3 into? Got some good news for you then.

According to a Dutch gaming site Sega's Virtua Tennis 3 will support 1080p resolution. Compared to the XBox 360's version only using 720p you can guess how much sharper the game will look.

If this is true Sega will be among the elite few that have announced games supporting 1080p. According to the same article the game is scheduled for March 2007, so it could wind up becoming a launch title in the European/ UK market when the PS3 lands in March.
