Some of the extra accessories that will be available for the PS3 at launch have been found out.
First off, the controller has an official name now- SIXAXIS. It comes with a lithium-ion battery built in which should last about 30 hours before charging up again. You can play and charge using a USB cable, similar to the XBox 360's Play 'N Charge kit for their wireles controllers. Extra controllers are expected to run about $45 USD each (which is comparable to other wireless controllers).
Here's something many have been wondering about- how to get the current game saves from your PSOne/PS2 memory card onto the PS3. Well, Sony has a memory card adaptor planned which should be available at launch which will allow you to move your saves onto the PS3 hard drive. Suggested retail price may be about $15 USD.
Of course, for the movie watchers out there is the remote control. Designed specifically for Blu-Ray and DVD movie watching the remote falls more in line with the standard Sony look for the DVD player remotes. Expect the price to be about $35. This won't be out in Japan until December 7 so it may be a bit longer for release elsewhere.
