Thanks to some brochures released to Japanese specialty stores we have a bit of an idea as to what is included with the PlayStation 3.

* PS3 hardware
* 1 x SIXAXIS Controller
* 1 x USB cable (to recharge the controller and PSP connection)
* 1 x Stereo AV cable (Stereo AV, Component, D-terminal, multi-terminal) an HDMI cable can be bought separately
* 1 x LAN cable
* 1 x Power cable

There's no mention which model this was for (20 GB or 60 GB) or if there is any difference at all.

I am amazed that there is no headset included for online gaming ?

Yep, I'm somewhat amazed by that too. Maybe they feel most that would be looking for that already have the Logitech USB headset for the PS2 and will use that?

I would imagine there will be a new headset down the line, maybe something like the bluetooth earpieces for cell phones. But for now I would think the PS2 USB headset will do just fine.
