Early reports around the web suggested that the PlayStation 3 (via the PlayStation Store) would be the only way to buy and download games for the PSOne for play on the PSP. According to SCEA VP Of Marketing Peter Dille that's not the case.

In an interview with gamedaily.biz he said "We have the PSP downloads site now, and you're right; these PS1 games will be available either from the PSP downloads site directly, so you don't need a PS3 to get them or if you do happen to be one of the lucky guys that gets a PS3, you can download the games to your PS3 hard drive and then slide it over to your PSP. Both services will be up and running."

So, those of you wanting to get into Jumping Flash will be able to get the game either through a PS3 or their web site when launched. The PSP still needs a firmware update to enable the emulator- this is expected to be available November 17, same day as the PS3 launch.
