Recent rumors have suggested that the PS3's online gaming may have achievements similar to what is done on XBox Live, only called "entitlements". It now looks as if this won't be the case- at least, not exactly.

Sony is leaving it up to the developers to do their own in-game "entitlements" and you will be able to compare to other gamers but you will likely only be able to do this while playing the game. Scores across titles will not add up to a total "gamerscore" like on Live.

Now, while some may be a bit disappointed by this I don't see it as that big of a deal. I'm not worried about little things like this, I just want the games to be fun to play online. That's the main thing, isn't it- fun?
