Following the closure of Lik-Sang due to lawsuits levied against it by Sony over imports of their systems another import company, Play Asia, has cancelled all preorders for the PlayStation 3 made on their site. In an e-mail sent out yesterday they cited "licensing and distribution limitations" as the reason.

"As a result, we are very sorry to let you know that we have now cancelled your non-binding reservation with us," the email continues. "Rest assured, as this was a "no money down" reservation only, no funds have been debited in any way."

Meantime all PS3 item pages have been changed to read "preorders closed". This comes less than a week after the closure of their former competition. It's looking like anyone wanting the pS3 are being left no choice but to wait for the official date for their area.
