Plenty of gamers from the UK and Europe have been wondering when they will be able to reserve their own PlayStation Network ID so that (hopefully) their preferred choice will not be taken by those in Japan and North America that got their systems in November.

Well, gamers, wonder no more- that time is now! Just head to https://secure.eu.playstation.com/user/ps3_info_registration/pn/login.jhtml?_requestid=1080057 to begin signing up. Now, before you rush in keep in mind that this name is permanent so be sure of what you want before you hit that Ok button to confirm everything. If you decide that you wanted a different name after going through the process you will have to do it again using a different e-mail address as there is a limit of one master name per e-mail. This name is how you will be seen across all games when playing online.

how do u apply 4 a playstation network (PSN) sign in ID

Just go to the site in the story. When you go there click on OK without entering anything. This will bring up a link to begin the registration. If your country is not listed in the drop down menu you will not be able to register (unless you don't mind your home country being wrong ).

From there it's very straightforward- just fill in the information as they ask for it. Then, when you do finally get the PS3 you will have your log-in e-mail and password ready to go.
