Question ALL - Tony Hawk on a guitar?

Apparently Neversoft are to contribute to the next instalment in the hugely popular Guitar Hero franchise.
The company, creator of the hugely successful Tony Hawk Pro Skateboarding games, have started running advertisements looking for people to work on the next Guitar Hero game. As of the time of posting, no positions had been specifically requested.

Activision, have so far made no comment about Neversofts involvment.

However, Red-Octane, have confirmed that Neversoft WILL be contributing in some way to the creation of the next Guitar Hero game.

On a slightly side note. It's been discovered that there could be some spin-offs from the series.

First of all, in next months Electronic Gaming Monthly, it's rumored that there will be some sort of feature on an 80's themed Heavy Metal version of the Guitar Hero games.

More intriguing though, is that, late last year, Activision recently registered patents for the names "Guitar Villain" and "Drum Villain".
According to the United States Patent and Trademark Office Web site, "Guitar Villain" was registered as a Trademark on November 29, 2006 with "Drum Villain" being registered a few days later on December 01, 2006.

I guess you'll have to make your own judgements on whether those games will appear or not.

As always, keep checking Absolute-Playstation for all your Sony consoles news.
