Sony UK boss Ray Maguire has confirmed the PSP will be getting a redesign.

This came about during the launch of Sony’s PSP in Education initiative when he told the invited crowd of media, teachers and education specialists that the current model is "the first iteration". When queried about the redesign plans he added that any changes would not affect the screen size, seen as one of the system's strengths.

He didn't off any other clues as to the foreseen changes or when this new PSP would be available.
