It's been not even ten weeks since the official launch in Europe, the UK and Australia but it has been confirmed by SCEE that PS3 console sales have topped the one million mark in those regions. This was faster than both the PlayStation 2 and the original PlayStation to hit that mark.

Comparing to Japan, despite the earlier launch date (November 11) the total consoles sold in that region is still under one million, sitting at 910,737 according to data from Media Create. North America, meanwhile, boasts an install base of over 1.3 million units according to sales figures released by NPD.

As expected, the top 2 games in Europe are Resistance: Fall of Man and Motorstorm with sales of 600,000 and 500,000 respectively.

Yeah, it doesn't surprise me us Europeans love our Playstations. But who still gets treated the worst !!!!!!
