 PS3 - New Firmware Available Those wild and crazy guys at Sony are keeping busy with the PlayStation 3 firmware updates- we have another one available for download, bringing things up to version 1.82. This update is a minor fix overall. The main feature here is allowing AVC High Profile (H.264/MPEG-4) playback support, a high quality video format. Also included in the update is an upgrade to the backward compatibility list, allowing for even more PlayStation 2 and PSOne games to be played. A link to the North American download can be found in the free downloads area for those that prefer to update via USB.      |

 Re: PS3 - New Firmware Available Just thought I'd add that the UK and Australian version 1.82 firmwares are available for download in the downloads area. Go find them (as well as the US firmware update) here. Jay Site Squad |
