Question PSP - New Firmware version 3.51 released

So somehow, we, here at APi, managed to miss the Firmware Update that Sony snuck out on the 29th June for the PSP.

To be honest, I don't even remember seeing any news about it anywhere.

Anyway, I have added the links to the PSP Downloads section for the new version 3.51 firmware update.

To get the new update go here.

Out of curiosity, who all here has a PSP?

I do not have one, I think I will wait for the inevitable redesign that is coming. Do you have one Jason? If so, what is your opinion of the system and the games for it?

This one kinda snuck under the radar as all it did was try to enhance security (translation: slow down the homebrew). No special features to mention this time.

Yeah thats true, but an update is an update

I do have the original PSP, yes, and it works perfectly fine.
I personally like it, but a redesign would be very welcomed. If they added a second Analog stick and moved both below the screen then it would give the effect of a PS1/2/3 dual-shock/SIXAXIS controller.
And maybe a slot like on the DS for the PSP UMDs instead of the tray that opens up. with like a cover like on a vcr that goes in when you put the game in then appears over the game again.
oh and flash memory as well up to like 8GB or summot

Cool. Do you think a PSP redesign would be announced at E3? I've heard rumors... not much more than that. All of your ideas for the redesign sound cool though. I don't know why they opted for 1 analog stick on the PSP, but 2 would be awesome...

I have one, to be honest the controls are a bit hard to use.

So a redesign of the controls would do for me, everything else i like, its a great machine.
