Word had been given awhile back that the demo for the upcoming game Heavenly Sword had been completed and gamers had been patienly waiting since then for word on a release. Well, word has been officially given- for Europe, at least.

According to EuroGamer Sony has confirmed the demo will be released to European audiences this Thursday in the PlayStation Store. IGN also says other territories should see it "around the same time as Europe, according to Sony".

Firmware update and hot demo in the same week? Sony's making up for lost time.

How much would it suck if they put it out in Europe only this week?

I know that there is no chance in the world they would do that to the rest of the PS3 owners, but I'm just speculating.

Actually the Playstation Blog says that the Heavenly demo is coming soon... which tells us nothing more than we already know.

It'll be interesting to see what comes of this week. Could be a big week for PS3 owners if it all pans out.

That's where setting up accounts based in different countries comes in handy- it's quite easy to set up a dummy account for the UK/ Europe, Japan, Honk Kong, etc. Just use any street address at all from that region. easily found with a business search. I have names set for the US, the UK, Japan, Taiwan and my normal name.

That isn't risky at all? Installing foreign material on your console?

I mean, I've heard about people doing this, but what if Sony start cracking down on the "issue"?

We shouldn't have to go from country to country, I think everyone should get basically the same thing in their stores. Why make one region mad every Thursday?

It's perfectly safe- the PS3 games are region free, after all. That goes for demos as well. Anyhoo, you aren't able to buy any of the full-fledged games due to needing credit cards with an address in that region.

Looking forward to the demo i watched the special programme on Gamer Tv a few weeks back about this game and it looks awesome

Does anyone know what time it will be on?I got told between 12pm and 5pm

In the case of the North American stores their updates are usually around 3-5 PM eastern time. Not sure about the usual times in the UK/ Euro stores.

I checked at around 1pm in the UK store and there was nothing new.

And Lyn to create a US and Japan account, do i have to create a totally new user for each country, and make each country's account the master account in each user, thats what i would prefer to do.

Or do you just create them as sub-accounts to my UK master account ????

I'll just create a new user for both Japan and US accounts i think...

I'm downloading it at this second..... I cant wait to play this....

Yes i played it and was disappointed it only lasted 5 mins but even so it looks great and i have been looking forward to this game since i first heard about it

I'm sorry to say i was aswell, at first! After i played it through a couple of times though i really started to like it and get an idea of what the full game is guna be like, and it will be awesome...
If your into the heavenly sword/god of war type of genre, then you will love the game as i thought the fighting sequences, and combos were top-class...

I admit the demo was too short but overall it was better than nothing..

And i still think HS is guna be a awesome game....

I thought it was great, i have been waiting for soooooooooo long for this game that im just happy they finally gave us at least a taste of what to expect. Plus playing over and over only helps me get better at switching stances while i pull off insane combos.Oh and we also got Heavenly Sword wallpapers ( i don't know if you guys know)

Yeah it really gave me a vision of what the finished game will be like...
But it could have been longer...

yes with the last update it allowed us to put wallpapers up so when we got the heavenly sword demo we also got two heavenly sword wallpapers to download at the playstation store.

Yeah i knew you could do that with firmware 1.9, but i was just saying that Sony didnt make any downloadable HS wallpapers available on the UK PS Store, they've only done it to the US one i see it on there... Typical ey .....
