I'm not sure how many people this was going to affect but we have learned that the PlayStation network download of Warhawk, available now in North America and scheduled to arrive tomorrow in the UK and Europe, is not entirely shareable.

In the case of Warhawk the game will be tied to the account in which it has been bought from. Also, while the game can be re-downloaded on a separate PS3 system it must be played under that same account name. However, the game will only be available to play on a different PS3 system than the original for only 24 hours.

SCEA confirmed this in an interview with NexGen, saying they are trying a different form of Digital rights management in order to protect their investment. Now, this did not mean this will be the case for every game afterwards. Every time a new game is brought out onto PSN DRM policies are evaluated for each title based on costs for servers, development and maintenance.

For those that are wondering, this will not affect the Blu-Ray version of the game.
