Final Fantasy Chronicles
"PlayStation gamers can at last step back in time and experience two of the greatest Role Playing Adventures ever made: Final Fantasy 4 and Chrono Trigger. If ever there was a game-set that proved gameplay rules over graphics, this is it..!"

The Abbot  "Chrono Trigger Rips And Is A True Classic, One Of My Top 5 Console Rpg's Right Up With Ffx. Final Fantasy 4 Is Quality Although I Have Had More Trouble Getting Into It Than Chrono Trigger. I Had A Major Complaint With The Set Though....loading Time.....it Literally Would Take 5-10 Seconds Just To Switch Between Menus!!! Maybe That Is A Slight Exageration But Only Very Slight! It Was So Annoying That I Will Not Pick Up Chrono Trigger On Ps Again....the Load Time On The Ff4 Is Not So Bad, But I Mainly Purchased The Set For Chrono Trigger. Oh Well. I Will Have To Dig Out My Super Nes And Play That Version Instead Which Has Next To No Loading Time. Its Amazing That They Wouldnt Find A Way To Do Something About It And I Am Also Surprised More People Dont Find This So Annoying. I Found The Game Pretty Much Not Playable Due To This."

Paul Balagtas (pjb)  "Well Another Storyline Better Than Graphics For The Rpg Titles. the Game does Quite Well but The Graphics Really do Suck. chrono Trigger Was Great, but Final Fantasy 4 was lame. The Game Play Is just as Good And Interesting as Other Rpg Games Around. overall This Game Is Just O.k"

Christian Khalil  "Old-timers Like Me Will Personally Like These Two Games For Nostalgic Reasons. Quite Frankly, Chrono Trigger Is The Game That Will Draw The Most Attention. However, If You Played Final Fantasy 7 Or 9, And Chrono Cross, Then Final Fantasy Chronicles Won't Really Impress New Gamers To The Genre.

On An Important Note, The Reviewer Of This Site Made A Major Mistake By Mentioning That Final Fantasy 4 Was On The Older 8-bit Generation System. Not True! Both Final Fantasy 4 And Chrono Trigger Were Produced On The 16-bit Snes System."

What was your overall verdict on this game:
Very Poor - an embarrassment to the console
Nothing spectacular, but still functional
Quality visuals that clearly show the power of this machine
Graphical masterpiece that is amongst the best currently available
Pushing the visual capability to it's absolute limit
This game has graphics that were never thought possible on this console

Makes little use of the CD capacity and audio hardware
Functional sounds that compliment the on-screen action
Quality atmospheric sounds that are highly effective
Music and effects that greatly enhance the overall enjoyment
Sounds like this were never thought possible on this console

PLAY-ABILITY (The way the game actually plays)
No fun to play, control is bad, gameplay lacks ideas
Offers moderate enjoyment but lacks a reason to play regularly
Quality title that has all the features you would expect
Top-notch title with nearly flawless gameplay
Little room for improvement and the best game of its type
Introduces new gameplay aspects not thought possible for this console

Wouldn't even buy for your worst enemy
Life-span would be a short rental period
Recommended purchase which should offer a weeks enjoyment
Has the potential to still be played regularly weeks from now
This will remain a popular game in your collection for months
You will enjoy playing this game occasionally even years from now
